Last Day | Waldorf Practical Arts Training Module 7
Welcome to our final day (day 6) of Waldorf Practical Arts Training module 7, Saturday, June 28, 2025
Welcome to our final day of the Waldorf practical arts training for module seven. Today is our presentation day. It’s when everyone shares all of the work that they have done over the course of the past six days. After our morning, lecture and reflections and sharing our gems of the week we dive into our hard crafts. By this point, everyone is deep into their projects or in some cases finished and starting new ones. I completed my four mini copper bowls and started on an octagonal shape brass bowl. I got through this project fairly quickly since the brass had previously been cut and filed. Feeling encouraged I took on one more project in copper smithing.
I had seen another participant make a six petaled flower That was three dimensional. It looked so beautiful. I decided to make one as well. I was able to use their template and quickly cut the copper. I didn’t have time to complete the project, but I got most of what I needed to get done in class so that I can work on the rest at home. Because I had completed two log cabin quilts and had intentions to make a third I did not continue working on my embroidery or nine square quilt. Instead, I spent all of the hand work session working on hard crafts. The extra hour and a half allowed me to get Through my projects. All the sessions today were a little bit shorter that we had time at the very end to do our presentation. Everyone shared what they learned throughout the week and the gems from their experience. And then the best part is walking around the table and seeing everyone’s work. It’s always breathtaking and amazing to see how much we can accomplish in one week.
These intensive trainings run three times a year: February, April and June. You may join anytime. There are a total of 9 modules (3 year program) with each module including a soft and hard craft.
Participants may also join online but I recommend in person if possible! The energy of working together and being inspired by other students and the feeling of community is unmatched.
