WALDORF KINDERGARTEN

Waldorf Kindergarten

Every October, we seem to get a stretch of 80- or 90-degree weather, and every year we find ourselves saying, “It’s October!” While summer still feels persistently here, we look for signs of fall at the park while still warm enough to swim in the ocean. But this year is different. This is an El Niño year, so we experienced unexpected rainfall and unpredictable surf, making the transition into fall feel a little less familiar.

Overcoming Challenges in Kindergarten | Day 13

Day 13, Thursday, October 1, 2026, of homeschooling my four-year-old triplet nephews began with our familiar opening rhythm of checking the weather, season, and day of the week. I accidentally called it Thursday when it was Tuesday, and somehow both my sister-in-law and I missed it at first. Eventually we caught the mistake and carried on.
